When submitting a claim, it is very important to understand the difference between the service date and the payment date of your expense.
When processing a claim, we require the service date which is the date the service was done. Sometimes this is differs from the date of payment. An example of this would be a dental procedure where the dental office has allowed you to make a pre-payment for a procedure to help spread out the costs. In this case, we require the date that the procedure was performed in order to process the claim along with proof of payment.
It is important to note that we don't process claims for pre-payments until the service has been performed, so hold onto all your receipts until the procedure has been completed.
