Now that you're employees are using your new Wellness Spending Account, you may be wondering how you fund their claims?
We have incorporated the funding that is required for the WSA with your existing claim funding account that is used for all your Health Spending Account claims. This means if you make a payment from your business bank account for a WSA claim, it will be added to the same account that is used for the HSA claims. We have done this to make payments and accounting simpler for you and your business; you can still use the same reports that are available within your MyOlympia account.
Claims will still be paid on the first in, first paid basis regardless of whether they are a HSA or WSA claim. If you are set up to have a fixed amount pulled from your bank account every month, you may want to consider increasing the amount depending on the WSA activity to ensure funds are ready for claims.
